The nylon bags that we manufacturer are sewn with a five-string merrow machine with a full safety stitch inside. These “nylon” bags are actually made from 100% polyester with a polyester tie cord. These are presently available in six sizes: 4x12, 6x12, 8x12, 6x14, 8x14, and 10x14. We will be happy to give you a price on any customized bag you desire. Bags are individually packaged, but are also available in bulk.
The media bags we carry are a combination of felt material and polyester mesh material sewn together. This gives the bags added strength for holding carbon or other substrates without stretching. By using these bags in the outflow of most protein skimmers, you will avoid bubbles in the sump. The media bags are available in 5x8” (7 oz. weight material) and 7x16” (10 oz. weight material).
